Texas Infertility Prevention Project (TIPP)
TIPP is a part of the Region VI Infertility Prevention Project. It is a partnership between the Texas Department of Health Microbiology Laboratory, Family Planning, HIV/STD Health Resources and the Center for Health Training. Together, these programs partner with sentinel chlamydia and gonorrhea screening sites across Texas to reduce the incidence and complications of these STDs. This is accomplished through screening high risk women, counseling infected and at-risk women and their partners on safer sex practices, and referring women for other medical services as appropriate. More information can be obtained from the TIPP website maintained by The Texas Department of Health or by contacting austin@jba-cht.com.
