About This Training
To present in front of a group can be a stressful experience. However, good preparation is the key to building confidence and reducing anxiety. This interactive workshop will address how to engage audiences and enhance presentation skills. It will also offer tips and techniques to help you develop an effective presentation.

As a result of this training, participants will:

design a presentation outline;
identify techniques to engage audiences;
enhance and build presentation skills.

Audience: First 5 contractors and other professionals who work with families and children in San Joaquin County.

Trainer: Beatriz Reyes is a Training Coordinator for CHT and has extensive experience doing community outreach. She has presented to diverse audiences, in classrooms, at large community events, and at a state-wide conference. She enjoys working with the community.

Fees: Fees are per person, per day. First 5 Contractor Staff: $10; Private/Other funding: $30. Please add a $6 fee for each person requesting CE Units. Fees can be refunded if cancellation is received 5 working days prior to the session.

To Register: Please register online by pressing "sign up for this event" below. Complete one registration for each person, to be received by the deadline. Once processed, please mail fees to the CHT address listed on the form. Confirmations will be mailed two weeks prior to the workshop and will include specific location, directions and other details. Participants are responsible for their own meals, travel and lodging. Deadline: Registrations must be received by June 5, 2008.

CE Units: Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 02604, for 5 contact hours. Course meets the qualifications for 5 hours of continuing education credit for MFTs and/or LCSWs, as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, Provider #PCE- 1400. To receive credit, participants must attend the entire course and present their license number at the workshop. All other applicants will receive certificates of participation.
