This event takes place via telephone; participants will call a toll free number and listen to a presentation while following along with written materials. You will have the opportunity to ask questions during several Q&A periods. Detailed instructions and handouts will be sent to the person who registers (aka The Caller). Need help deciding the best appointment system to meet your capacity and productivity goals and keep staff and clients satisfied? This audio conference will provide guidance on assessing appointment capacity, describe and compare various appointment system models and discuss effective implementation of new models.

Audience: CHT recommends that a clinic/operations manager, fiscal manager, and clinical provider from each agency interested in this topic attend this audio conference as a “team.”

Presenter: Sharon Black, RN formed Sharon N. Black Consultants LLC in 1996. Her background is in ambulatory public health and primary care, and she has nearly 30 years experience in clinic management. Sharon N. Black Consultants LLC specializes in a variety of areas including teambuilding, public health and community health center clinic and family planning program management.

At the end of this audio conference, the participant will be able to:

Determine their sites’ capacity for appointments.
Describe various appointment systems and identify factors to consider when selecting a model.
Identify strategies to effectively implement a new appointment system.

Fees: Title X-funded agencies: $25 per phone line; Private/Other funding: $45 per phone line. WSNA credits are an additional $10. A $10 late fee will be assessed for each registration received after the deadline. Fees can be refunded if cancellation is received 5 working days prior to the session.
