About This Training As a result of this training, participants will:
Audience: First 5 contract Managers, Directors and other professionals such as Board Members of non-profit agencies who work with families and children in San Joaquin County. Trainer: Dave Nakashima has worked in the field of developing and coordinating culturally appropriate social and health care services to diverse communities for more than twenty years. As an independent consultant, he focuses his facilitation, training, technical assistance and curriculum development services in areas of individual and organizational cultural competence. He has experience guiding collaborative efforts with community based providers, county and state health departments, national non-profit organizations and federal agencies. Fees: Fees are per person, per day. First 5 Contractor Staff: $10; Private/Other funding: $30. Please add a $6 fee for each person requesting CE Units. Fees can be refunded if cancellation is received 5 working days prior to the session. To Register: Please register online by pressing "sign up for this event" below. Confirmations will be mailed two weeks prior to the workshop and will include specific location, directions and other details. Participants are responsible for their own meals, travel and lodging. CE Units: Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 02604, for 5 contact hours. Course meets the qualifications for 5 hours of continuing education credit for MFTs and/or LCSWs, as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, Provider #PCE- 1400. To receive credit, participants must attend the entire course and present their license number at the workshop. All other applicants will receive certificates of participation.
