Educating and Counseling Males on Sexual &
Reproductive Health Issues This event takes place via telephone; participants will call a toll free number and listen to a presentation while following along with written materials. You will have the opportunity to ask questions during several Q&A periods. Detailed instructions and handouts will be sent to the person who registers (aka The Caller). The Caller is also encouraged to register additional listeners for this event. In This Training: This audio conference will identify issues and barriers for males that influence their sexual and reproductive health care. Participants will learn how to more effectively address males' sexual and reproductive health concerns as well as learn communication strategies to counsel males. Audience: Family planning staff who provide services to males. Presenter: David L. Bell, M.D. is Assistant Clinical Professor at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. Dr. Bell provides direct service to adolescents and young adults and has been the medical director of the Young Men’s Clinic since 1999. He is a strong advocate for the right of young men to have access to respectful services that address their sexual and reproductive health care concerns.
