How to Conduct a Birth Control Method Counseling Session with Teens
Videoconference — April 11, 2008, 9:00am to 11:00am
Participants: Nurses, Counselors of Oklahoma Family Planning Program.
Objectives:
- Learn key strategies for providing developmentally appropriate counseling and education to teens.
- Explore how to conduct a client education session on birth control that incorporates recent research on health communication and meets Title X guidelines.
- Practice ways to discuss the topic of sexual coercion in conversations with teens.

Credits: 2.0 Type 1 Nursing, LPC, and .20 Social Work CEUs
