WRITCHE: Western Region Institute for Teachers and Community Health Educators
June 23-27, 2008
This will be the 11th annual “WRITCHE” serving California, Hawaii, the Navajo Nation, Arizona, Nevada and the Pacific Basin.
Description: WRITCHE is a 4½-day retreat-style residential training for public middle and high school teachers AND community health educators. The focus is on building skills and comfort related to teaching about sexuality, HIV/STI, and family planning education. It will provide an overview and guidance on what is required to teach according to California Education Code. This skill-building event is designed to strengthen professional competence and productivity.
