Goal
The goal of the Test Texas HIV Coalition Summit is to enhance the ability of health care providers to integrate routine HIV testing in public health, emergency and primary care settings.
Target Audience
Administrators, health educators, outreach workers, doctors, NPs, nurses, social workers, risk managers, clinic staff and corrections health.

Objectives
By the end of this event, participants will be able to:
- Explain the benefits of routine HIV testing;
- Cite the current research on routine HIV testing;
- Describe implementation models for routine HIV testing in health care settings;
- Identify the public health recommendations for routine HIV testing;
- Discuss the practical application of medical ethics in clinical settings where routine HIV testing is taking place;
- List at least three follow-up resources for an HIV+ patient;
- Summarize the goals of the Test Texas HIV Coalition

Upon successful completion of this educational activity, a maximum of 9.25 nursing contact hours will be awarded.
Successful completion of this continuing nursing education activity includes the following:
- attending the entire activity;
- completion of the activity sign-in form; and
- submission of a completed evaluation form.
